Boulevard de l'Ivresse
Exhibition, installation and performance
Bastille Design Centre
Paris, France (2025)
Passionate about wine, I produced my first vintage at the age of fourteen, guided by intuition. My fascination led me to complete oenology internships and to join distinguished wine clubs, which organize tastings in production sites across France and abroad.
The idea for this performance was born in the late 1990s, during a visit to my friend, the oenologist Pascal Frissant, in his village of La Caunette. Yet the project never left me, and now the time has come to bring it to life, nearly a quarter of a century later. The performance celebrates wine by invoking its gods: Jafna, daughter of the Canaanite god Baal, Dionysus of the Greeks, and Bacchus of the Romans.
